In a run-in just outside a local cantina, some thugs are threatening some of the peaceful locals. With those credits, I was able to cash them in for more equipment. with a lot of credits for an ex-Jedi with a flexible moral code. Fortunately, there are a lot of other interests on the station. The planet itself is a big graveyard, now the site of the greatest restoration project in Republic history, if the slow-witted Ithorians had their way. the space station and the planet are a mess, little or no law to speak of, and what little security there is has enough trouble keeping the peace. All of those evil choices will only give a small Dark Side hit to your character, since at this point in the story we need to be careful how much evil-ness we allow the character to have. Since this is the first time the player will be faced with "good" or "evil" options, we ease them in with subtle choices like telling your party members to "stay put" when they might be in obvious danger, or outright lying to them regarding your motivations for getting off the facility. Throughout the abandoned mining facility on Peragus, the player will be faced with several choices in uncovering the mystery of what happened to the miners there.
Do I look stupid to you? There was no way we were all getting out of there alive. At one point I was facing countless homicidal mining droids I had the option of trying to save who I could or just saving myself. They are just a small example of the choices that await. These are by no means the only events that will shape your character's path. To give you an idea of what to expect in KOTOR 2, Obsidian has provided IGN with some first-hand accounts of some of the events in The Sith Lords. At almost every turn you can choose malevolence of benevolence, cruelty over kindess, selfishness over selflessness. Whether you want to be Light or Dark Side, there are numerous options in both dialogue and deed throughout KOTOR 2.

Now that you know how to lead your teammates down the Light or Dark path, it's time to check out how your character will maintain the proper course.
